Take Action

Get Involved

There are a number of ways to get involved and TAKE ACTION with
The Otago Shore and Land Trust.

From subscribing to our Wildlife Alerts newsletter, to volunteering to attending events, to donating to sustain our mahi, every action you take helps us protect and restore this precious place.

As kaitiaki (guardians) of the whenua (land) and shore, we deeply value your manaakitanga (generosity) and ongoing support. Your contribution – whether big or small – strengthens our shared vision of a thriving, biodiverse future.

Ngā mihi nui ki a koe (many thanks to you) for standing with us to ensure our taoka (treasured) species and landscapes endure for generations to come.

VOLUNTEER

Volunteering is a fun way to take action! Our Plant a Tree initiative ensures the restoration and regeneration of native habitats and we welcome the extra hands to help us. Volunteers experience being part of restoration in action and it is an amazing way to connect, to gain skills, meet like-minded people, and become kaitiaki/guardians of our land, shore, and future.

EVENTS
